Automating Processes
PacificTransact has invested considerable resources and time in addressing the needs of industry and developed expertise in automating numerous aspects of the transaction lifecycle.

Front - End
In our interpretation of an efficient solution, Front-End includes the SW that powers transaction devices, mobilizes applications on those devices and switches, routes and drives those devices. (quite often this term will be used for the node where devices connect).

Front - Office
The Front-Office includes services and processes that involve real-time aspects of a transaction. It can used to command, control and configure that transaction lifecycle. For example, reporting, monitoring, fraud and risk controls, risk parameters, fraud engines, etc., are all part of Front-Office.

Back - End
The Back-End varies with applications and payment industry segment. In our interpretation we will assume that any external interface is a back-end. Back-end examples are; Interface for Visanet or Mastercard, EFT networks, credit bureaus, check processors, settlement companies, card issuers, money transfer vendors, ACH systems and others. The exact nature of the back-end will vary based on the specific business. An Intercept may see processors as their back-end, a processor may see associations and settlement companies as their back-end and so on.

Back - Office
The Back-Office represents all those processes that involve completing the transaction process. Profitability, sales support, risk models, settlement processes, underwriting systems, commissions, fees tables, interchange management, systems of record, merchant agreements, etc., will all be a part of Back-Office.

Simplification by Automation
The PacificTransact approach is simplification by automation. We have built products that are easily transformed into solutions and are tailored to your needs. We therefore call them building blocks or building platforms. The PacificTransact vision is to deliver every component needed to consummate financial transactions from origination to settlement.

Complex Interconnect
The entire financial services industry has numerous specializations and details. No one product fits all and it is not possible to get off-the-shelf products for most needs of the financial services industry. As a result, financial services firms end-up building in-house, non-standard products without a strategic architecture – this approach works initially but quickly becomes counter-productive there can be an integration challenge at every step.

Domain Expertise
Whether you are a bank or non-bank financial service provider your core asset is the business domain expertise and the myriad modules and tools that you have built over the years to run your business optimally.

PacificTransact Knows the Payments Business
PacificTransact is like you – we build systems, very often we operate them on-demand on behalf of our customers, intercept and process transactions, and provide support. The benefit to our customers is that you retain your competitive edge in a fast changing marketplace. Not only is PacificTransact a specialist in the payments industry we are technologists also--with a high expertise in building robust software and optimal systems.

Our Products Reflect Our Thinking
Just as you don't want to be commoditized, we cannot afford to be out-dated. For this reason we develop our products to overcome the difficult technology challenges facing the payments industry. We have created a series of innovations in our building blocks that our customers utilize to meet their system objectives.

A Modular Platform

Our products work together to form a unified platform or can be used as independent modules. Consider them building blocks to meet your current and future system objectives.
